I am a chef: a chef I am

Chef is a title earned not given. I do not know who determines how it is earned, but I am a chef. I graduated from culinary school 2017 from Johnson and Wales University - Denver campus. I worked at one job for 20 years exactly, so after raising my two children to adulthood and becoming a young grandma, I decided it is my turn to follow my passion.

During and after culinary school I had no idea what I wanted to do. I had a block in my brain for years just not knowing what I wanted to do. Then one day March 2019 to be exact, my 20 year job finally laid me off. Now I am forced to figure out what I want to do next. I am still unsure. 6 months later after a lot of laying around, Netflix movies and documentaries, naps, zero stress, and life changing vacations, my money started to run lower than I hoped by this time. I need to make a decision and I need to just go for it. Fast forward to now, I decided to start DittyPop LLC as my brand and company that provides private chef and catering services to the locals in Colorado.

DittyPop comes from my nickname P-Ditty. All my life I wanted a nickname and years after I became a adult my coworkers gave me one. I owned it and it was mine. Not long after, a rap artist named Sean “Puffy” Combs changed his name to P-Diddy, so of course people assumed I copied him. I changed it to Ditty Pop as a alternant and that is how my company name became what it is. My alter nickname ego is Ditty Pop.

It is important to me to make all of my customers happy with food. I want to provide healthy options at a reasonable price because that is something I am constantly looking for when I want something to eat. I live in Aurora, CO and my options are limited unless I cook the food myself. I have student loan debt, I have food and health knowledge, and I have great cooking skills. My mission is to fill the void the working person has to fill when it is lunch time. My delivery service can help people who are stuck in their office, call center, medical facility, or any workday environment that doesn’t allow them to leave to get lunch nearby. Lunches will need to be scheduled 24 hours in advanced, and will be delivered in a brown paper bag the day and time scheduled. Lunch will include a bag of Terra vegetable chips and bottle water. All meals are made fresh to order, and the menu will change weekly. Please check your newsletter, social media, or website for updates.
